Some people think we should lower the voting age and all, but I really don’t think we need to. Politics is confusing as it is and teenagers/kids don’t understand a lot of whats going on in the world. It’s not their fault, it’s just, they have other things to worry about. Kids don’t need to stress about war, taxes, immigration etc. In fact, if they lowered the voting age, I don’t think I would vote, because I wouldn’t trust my knowledge to vote. I’m not ignorant, I try to keep myself informed, but a lot of the things I read I don’t think I’m comprehending correctly. Like taxes for example. For the most part, teenagers don’t deal with taxes (other than sales tax). That lack of experience just doesn’t put kids in the right mindset as adults when dealing with political issues.
